Dacima’s Drug Supply Management Module simplifies clinical trial drug allocation and site inventory management.

Dacima is please to announce the development of  our Drug Supply Management module as part of the Dacima Clinical Suite EDC software. The Drug Supply Management module fully integrates with Dacima’s web randomization (IVRS/IWRS) module allowing you to manage drug allocation to patients and track your drug inventory at study sites. The module is designed to track drug inventory levels  at the study sites and automatically notify the central distribution center (pharmacy) when the site inventory levels are low. Automatically generates emails  are sent to notify the central distribution centre when resupply  shipments need to be prepared so that sites have adequate stock available.

The Drug Supply Management modules includes features that automate and simplify the drug allocation process and improve efficiency and will reduce costs associated the logistics of distribution.  Authorized users, such as project managers or pharmacists can upload master dispensing code (bottle #, Kit #) lists and prepare consignment for shipping based on the specific dispensing codes specified by the system to meet the inventory requirements at the site. With flexible and configurable options drug products codes can be linked to study arms (one or more per arm) to allow for automatic assignment of the appropriate treatment drug(s) based on the study arm in which the subject was randomized.  Different inventory levels and low warning thresholds can be specified by site and the convenient resupply functionality with customizable reasons helps manage the resupplying of patients with the appropriate drugs. With easy to use drug allocation, supply/resupply and history  functionalities, users can easily manage drug allocations to study subjects and view the history of all drugs assigned and allocated to the patient.
